ENCON Club
Encon club started at Universal Engineering college Vallivattom in the year 2013 for raising awareness about Environment protection and Energy Conservation among the student community and the public around.This club is affiliated to Bharath Petrolium Corporation Kochi Refinery.ENCON Club is purely a voluntary non-profit group activity of students aimed at practicing energy conservation and environment protection. This gives a platform for the members to acquire, process and share knowledge on the subject. Kochi Refinery started ENCON clubs in the year 2002 with the ambitious aim of associating with the younger generation in protecting and preserving the environment. The main objective of this ENCON Club is to drive home the message of energy conservation and environment protection in the minds of students, by planning and organizing regular activities.

2013-14
- "Harithamayam" Campus Dream Project started
- Inauguration of Encon Club and conducted Energy conservation workshop and Energy auditing Workshop.
- Institutional cultivation project started.
2014-15
- Vellangallur Grama Panchayath decleared as an Energy conservation Village.
- Encon Club Established an Extension center of community development through Polytechnic(Govt.Womens Polytechnic college .Thrissur) Under the MHRD Govt.of India
- Encon club organized an Interaction programme with Dr. Madhav Gardgill Chairman of Gadgill committe .
- Encon club associated with Dr.Salim Ali foundation Thrissur for the integrated Environment friendly development programmes.
2015-16
- Conducted programmes with Kerala state Energy Management Center.
- Conducted Fire and safety training programme.
- Conducted Energy Conservation Rally at Irinjalakuda
2016-17
- Encon club Co-ordinator Attended Energy conservation building code two days workshop at Thrissur . Programme organised by Kerala State Energy Management centre and Thrissur Municipal corporation.
- Herbal Garden Project Inaugurated.
- 60th Year Keralam (Keraleeyam)was celebrated.
2017-18
- Drug De-addition awareness programme Inaugurated by Mr.Rishiraj Singh IPS State Excise Commissioner.
- Electronics Waste collection recycling project started
- Cancer detection programme OPPAM In association with Block Panchayath Vellangallur started.
2018-19
- Organic Farming started.
- Deepthi Energy conservation project started at Poomangalam Grma Panchayath.
- Conducted Energy Conservation Rally at Irinjalakuda.
