The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department association was constituted on 05.09.2018. The official inauguration of TESLA was done on 14.10. 2018 by Er. Nandakumar, Assistant Engineer, Saurav, Renewable and Energy Saving, Vythuthi Bhavan, Trivandrum. The executive committee consists of the Head of the Department, two faculty members and nine students. 

Cash Counter Vapour Sanitizer:

Mr. Steffin Sunny, S8 EEE student manufactured a Cash Counter Vapour Sanitizer. This fully automated machine can be utilised for sanitizing notes, bills, ATM cards at the cash counters without even leaving behind any trace of sanitizer on it. The news was broadcasted in the leading Amrita New Channel on 3rd July 2021.

Activities (2019-21) :

  1. On 31.08.2019, TESLA organized a workshop on “Distributed Generation and Smart Grids” by Dr. Unnikrishnan P C . The students of S7 EEE and faculties attended the session. On 11.02.2020, on behalf of TESLA congratulated Ms. Krishnasruthi K S(S4 EEE) for achieving Gold medal in 200m and Bronze medal in 100m in KTU athletic meet 2020.

  2. On 29.02.2020, on behalf of TESLA congratulated Ms. Fathima Abdul Akbar(S8 EEE) for being placed at Infosys as Systems Engineer.

  3. On 03.03.2020, TESLA organized a workshop on MEP. The SPACE MEP Consultants from Thrissur carried the session for S8 EEE students.

  4. On 09.03.2020, on behalf of TESLA congratulated Mr. Sreejith K A(S8 EEE) who secured second prize for Western Guitar Solo in the event SAPTA’20 organized by Govt. Engineering College, Sreekrishnapuram.

  5. Department of EEE and ECE on behalf of TESLA organized an international Webinar series on “Novel Trendlines in Technology and Job Prospects” from 10/08/2020 to 15/08/2020. Six eminent resource persons from across the globe handled the sessions.

  6. The Department of EEE, on behalf of TESLA manufactured and donated, an ultimate sanitizing and sterilizing machine named UV MIST ’19 on 16.08.2020. Mr. Steffin Sunny (S7 EEE) was the one who worked hard for bringing the machine into reality. Hon. MP T N Prathapan inaugurated the handing over ceremony of UV MIST ’19 to the college.. The details of the program was telecasted in Malayala Manorama News Channel, Amrita Channel, Marunaadan Malayali News Channel and News 18 Malayalam channel and also published in Malayala Manorama news paper.

  7. Department of EEE on behalf of TESLA organized a Faculty Development programme on “Recent Trends in Engineering ” from 24/08/2020 to 28/08/2020. Five eminent resource persons handled the sessions.

  8. On 22.08.2020, on behalf of TESLA, conducted an online farewell function for 2016-’20 EOn 21.08.2020, on behalf of TESLA, conducted an Alumni interaction programme named “Reminiscence” for all students of the department. EE pass out students.

Activities (2018-19) ;

  1. TESLA organized a seminar on the topic “ഊർജ്ജ കേരളം മിഷൻ by Er. Nandakumar, Assistant Engineer, Saurav, Renewable and Energy Saving, Vythuthi Bhavan, Trivandrum on 14.10. 2018.

  2. TESLA honoured the S2, S4 and S6 KTU examination toppers on 14.10. 2018.

  3. TESLA honoured Ms. Anjali K P, S3 EEE for securing excellent result in S1 and S2 KTU examination results on 14.10. 2018.

  4. TESLA honoured faculties Asst. Prof. Ragi R Menon, Asst. Prof. Haseena K H for attaining excellent result in the subjects they have taken on 14.10. 2018.

  6. As a part of social service activities, on behalf of TESLA S7 EEE students namely Gautham, Arjun, Nakul, Kiran Rajan, Deepak and Misab rewired a flood affected Anganavadi of Poomangalam Panchayath with the guidance of Asst. Prof.. Latha Thomas and Asst. Prof. Nitin Sivakumar. The switch on ceremony of the same was done today by our beloved Principal Dr. Jose Jacob sir on 25.10.2018 in the presence of Administration manager Mr.Renooj Abdul Khader, HOD Ms. Remya V R and Poomangalam Panchayath President Ms. Varsha.

  7. On behalf of TESLA, Engineers house conducted talent hunt exam for final year and pre-final year students 12.03.2019

  8. As a part of Vaibhav-2k19, TESLA presented a 16 feet length Electric Power Generation Working model for the college.

  9. As a part of Vaibhav-2K19, TESLA conducted a project contest for Diploma, B.Tech and Bsc. students. Ten teams from various colleges participated in the contest.

  10. On behalf of TESLA , the EEE Students have made the Electrification work of a poor family’s house situated at Poomangalam Panchayath into reality. On 03.05.2019 Principal, Dr. Jose K Jacob sir inaugurated the ‘Electricity switch on ceremony’ .HOD Ms. Remya V R, Poomangalam Panchayath President. Ms. Varsha, staff and students also enriched the function.
