I have great pleasure in introducing the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities which is inevitable for all branches of Engineering. The purpose of Applied Sciences and Humanities in the engineering curriculum is to lay a strong foundation in basic principles of various disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Life skills and Professional communication. Efforts are also being made to inculcate social values and professional ethics among the students. The department faculty works with excellent team spirit. Cultural activities are also promoted through various clubs at the departmental and college level. Three clubs, viz. Mathematics Club, Science Club and Literary & Debate club are functioning under the Department.

The Department has excellent lab facilities which are being upgraded timely to provide ample opportunities for the students to learn and innovate. The Department organizes interactive lectures and Faculty Development Programs/ Webinars/ Seminars by inviting experts from both academia and industry for the overall development of students and faculty.
