About

“Free software is software that respects your freedom and the social solidarity of your community. So it’s free as in freedom.”
— Richard Stallman

Knowledge multiplies when shared. Scientific knowledge belongs to the human race as a whole and disseminating knowledge is our duty. There should be no financial limit to its dissemination. Free software movement and Open-source-software movement were a huge step in this direction.
FOSS (Free and Open-Source Software) Club aims at creating awareness of various free and open-source projects. Club members will be encouraged to use FOSS technologies for all their computational needs. It will provide a platform for the students to enhance their technical knowledge and skills. The club operates on a student centric approach. Most of the technical sessions will be handled by the students itself. This will enable the students to prepare for participating in conferences, seminars, developer meets, hackathons etc.
