IEDC Universal Engineering College in association with MSME DFO Thrissur conducted a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights on 26th April 2023.
๐๐ก๐๐ฆ๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ was โWomen and IP: Accelerating, Innovation and Creativity – Celebrating the โCAN DOโ attitude of Women Inventors, Creators and Entrepreneursโ.
The workshop took place at B Block Seminar Hall .The program commenced with a silent prayer at 10:30am. Mr. Antonio Joseph V K,IEDC Nodal Officer welcomed the resource persons and participants. He also gave a brief idea about the session.
๐๐๐ฏ. ๐๐๐ง๐ฃ๐ฎ ๐ ๐, Associate Partner and Branch Head, Altacit Global, Cochin delivered the session on IPR and its importance of IPR for Startups.She Explained about Trademark, how a trade mark is chosen,benefits of registering trademark, its procedure and infringement.She also a gave an idea of copyright policy.
Smt.Rekha.K, Investigator, MSME-DFO, Thrissur spoke briefly about important schemes and support from the office of Development Commissioner, the Ministry of MSME. She focussed on the Incentive Schemes for Women owned MSMEs & Startups and MSME Schemes for Women Entrepreneurs
56 students actively participated in the program and cleared their doubts regarding the IPR.The program came to an end by 4:00pm .The vote of thanks was delivered by G Bhadra Nair, IEDC member.
