About Department:
Mechanical engineering department stands as a strong pillar, right from the inception of Universal Engineering College and extends its strong support to the society by creating hundreds of excellent, self-motivated and innovative mechanical engineers and continues its mighty journey into the future. We also provide post-graduation in Thermal Engineering and helped many of our students to pursue higher studies in the US, Canada, Sweden, Germany etc.
Our Department with its highly qualified faculty and staff, foster multifaceted talents of students by conducting various programs.

Programme Educational Objective (PEO)
- PEO 1:To equip the students with technical and analytical skills for pursuing career in the field of mechanical engineering

Program Specific Outcomes (PSO)
- Demonstrate the ability to apply the principles of engineering mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science to analyze and solve complex mechanical engineering problems in various industrial and societal contexts.
- Utilize engineering principles and techniques to design, analyze, and develop efficient mechanical systems and processes that meet sustainable and ethical standards in real-world applications.
- Leverage advanced CAD/CAM/CAE tools and emerging technologies to conceptualize, design, and optimize innovative products and manufacturing systems, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to industry best practices.
Programme Outcome (PO)
- PO 1)Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of Mathematics, Science, Engineering fundamentals, and Mechanical Engineering to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- PO 2) Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex Engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and Engineering sciences.
- PO 3) Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex Engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
- PO 4) Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
- PO 5) Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex Engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
- PO 6) The Engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional Engineering practice.
