About Department:
The Department of Civil Engineering was started in the year 2011 with an undergraduate program affiliated to Calicut University, Kerala with a sanctioned intake of 60 students
In 2013, the department started M. Tech course in Structural Engineering with an intake of 18 students . The department puts in a great effort to create outstanding engineers with advanced techniques, employing professional teaching methodologies for the students to excel in today’s fast paced world. The faculty of the department undertakes consultancy works related to topographic surveying, contour mapping, design of multi storied structures, soil investigation and foundation design as well as waste water analysis, environmental management systems etc. Besides the academic programs, additional bridge courses, seminars and workshops are conducted for the benefit of students as well as the faculty.

Programme Outcome (PO)
- PO 1: Engineering Knowledge: A Civil Engineering graduate should be able to give Technical & Engineering solution for Civil Engineering problems using knowledge of science, mathematics and engineering fundamentals.
- PO 2: Problem Analysis: The Graduate should be able to use applied mathematics and science in finding solution and analysis of Engineering problems.
- PO 3: Design/Development of Solutions: The Graduate should be able to design building structure, roads, sewage and water supply network and other component of infrastructure system considering environmental, safety and social aspects.
- PO 4: Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: The Graduate should be able to use latest research technological tool and analyse large engineering data for providing solution of engineering problems.
